S.P.P.C.S. conducts many fundraising events throughout the year creating opportunities for friends and families to help our school.  If you have ideas for new ways to raise money for the school, please contact the school office.

Annual Spring Gala & Dinner Auction

The Annual Spring Gala, held in March each year, is a major fundraiser for the school each year. The event includes a silent auction throughout the evening, appetizers and dinner, followed by an exciting live auction.

Donations to the event are made by friends and families of SPPCS and local businesses. Don't miss the chance to bid on these items. You won't be disappointed.

                                      Butter Braids Sales

These items are very popular.  Each fall we ask students to sell Butter Braids and Cookie Dough as a fundraiser to help our school.

                                      Education First

This drive enables our school to purchase items above and beyond what we would otherwise be able to do. In the past this money was used to initially purchase the computers for our computer lab, purchase our mobile lab and Smartboard, and purchase a new computer for every classroom.

                                      Gold Rush Raffle

The Gold Rush Raffle is a tremendous way to support the school by purchasing a $100 raffle ticket. An individual or a group can purchase tickets. The grand prize ticket is drawn at the Holy Name Trivia night in October. The proceeds of the raffle benefit the parish and the school equally.

                                      Market Day

The 8th grade Chicago trip is funded in part by a percentage of sales obtained through the Market Day program. Market Day products are offered for sale monthly and delivered to S.P.P.S. for pickup on scheduled dates throughout the school year.

                                      McDonald's McTeacher Night

One evening each fall, the Saints Peter and Paul School faculty and staff head to the Waterloo McDonald's to flip burgers, fry fries, work the registers, and man the drive-thru.  Proceeds from the sales that evening go to Saints Peter and Paul School.

In the fall of 2006, we introduced an exciting new concept in fundraising, the Schnucks eScrip card. It is the easiest fundraising opportunity ever! All you do is:

                                      • Schnucks and other participating merchants will make contributions to SPPCS, based on purchases made by, just by using your card
                                      • Your purchases create automatic contributions to SPPCS.

SCRIP is also available for purchase online.  Follow the link www.shopwithscrip.com for a complete list of all gift cards offered - including newly added American Girl cards.  The selection is much larger than what is kept in stock at school, and you can pick your cards out right from the site.  You must register using our code 6ED8849C5827.  Then place your order, print a copy of your order, and send it to school with your payment.  Cards will be released when your payment is received.

                                      Spring Carnival & Cash Raffle

Each year we create a fun enviornment of games, activities, concessions and a variety store for kids to enjoy during the school day.  Combined with this fun day is a cash raffle fundraiser, which helps support our school and provides three cash prizes to the winners drawn on carnival day.  We ask each student to try to sell as many tickets as they can, and give awards and incentives for ticket sales.

                                      Recycling
SPPS has a wonderful recycling program.  Our school has been in the top 10  of the schools in the area for paper recycling for the past 6 years.  Thanks to the people who bring in all of their old newspapers, junk mail and catalogs.  Unfortunately we are not able to accept telephone books.

We also recycle old cell phones, inkjet and laser cartridges from your printer.  Just drop these off at the receptacles around school. We receive points towards new equipment and money for each one of these.

Not only does the recycling program at our school raise extra money, but it also lessens the amount of junk in our landfills to help the environment.
