Childrens Rummage Sale for the Missions Collection
As we all enjoy the holidays, and celebrate the birth of the Most Special Child ever born, please remember the children of the world who are in poverty and great need. On Jan. 31st, during Catholic Schools Week, we will again have the annual Children's Rummage Sale for the Missions. All proceeds go to reputable organizations which help suffering children. Last year we raised $3400! Let's do it again! We need LOTS of items to sell, especially things that appeal to the older students. The sale is mainly geared to the school children, but it is open to the public after school that day. The 5th graders will again be in charge of the sale, and they are already hunting for these items: working toys(please put batteries in them if needed), games, puzzles, decorative items, sporting goods, jewelry, art supplies, crafts, lotions, purses, dolls, costumes, CHILDREN'S books and movies, electronic items, soda, candy(no nuts), small bags of chips, crackers, or other snacks, etc. We could also use gift cards, or other special items to raffle. PLEASE DO NOT SEND THESE: kitchen items, used clothing, TVs, computers, bicycles, or stuffed animals, unless they are like new. Donations may be brought to school any day or dropped off in the gym any Saturday in January, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Thank you for any help you can give to this worthwhile project!
