~ ANNOUNCEMENTS ~
Volunteering & Chaperoning
Please remember to fill out the application for volunteering and turn it in to the office as soon as possible. You will also need to take the Child Protection initial training course or refresher, as well as have a CANTS form on file. You can find more information on forms page.
We have numerous fields trips coming up and we want to make sure everyone is able to chaperone if they would like! If you have any questions, please call or stop in the school office. Thank You!
Queen of Hearts
The Queen was drawn on Tuesday evening, for a winning amount of $92,390! Congratulations to Julie Washausen! Also, a huge thank you to Mayor Tom Smith and his staff, Stubborn German Brewery and all of the volunteers for making this possible! Come back in a couple of weeks for our next round!
Athletic Boosters Club
Does your child play sports at SPPCS or do you just want to get involved? Please join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the SPPCS band room. We are looking to fill our Vice-President position as well as finding anyone whom might be interested in coaching cheerleading for the upcoming season. Contact John Green or Jenny Johnston via SchoolSpeak for details.
Starting next Monday, September 24 and run through Tuesday, October 2, SPPCS will be administering the Iowa Test of Basic Skills Standardized Tests (ITBS) to all students in 2nd - 8th grades. This is a draining week for our students, so PLEASE make sure they get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast and bring a water bottle.
We will be unable to interrupt classes during testing, so please do not schedule appointments in the morning during this week. Thank you for your support!
