                                      Our Mission

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School is the primary educational ministry of Saints Peter and Paul Parish.  Since 1865, the school has existed to serve the youth of our parish and to help parents in passing on the Catholic faith to their children.  At present, our program includes an early childhood learning center, kindergarten, and grades 1 through 8.  We serve the students, parents and the community of Saints Peter and Paul and neighboring communities. We strive to:
                                      • help families pass on the knowledge, beliefs, and traditions of the Catholic faith to their children.
                                      • provide an atmosphere of caring and respect for each human person regardless of race or ethnic origin.
                                      • create an environment which encourages academic excellence, and the development of individual talents and abilities.
                                      • work in partnership with families, to instill Christian values, and guide children toward becoming responsible, caring adults.

                                      Our Philosophy

We believe that each of us has been created by God and each of us has been blessed in many ways we have yet to discover.

We believe Catholic Education promotes human development and fosters growth in all individual and social human dimensions - spiritual, moral, intellectual, emotional, and physical - through a ministry embracing a message of faith, taught and lived in community and reaching out service to others.

We strive for academic excellence in all curricular areas, the development of a positive self-concept, and good moral values.

In order to help each child develop to his or her fullest potential, we believe in the shared responsibility of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and pastors.

                                      Strategic Plan

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School is a successful faith based elementary school preparing students for life.  The leadership of the school has continued to plan for hte future of the school and its students by developing a long range strategic plan. The planning process, which began early in 2010, was initiaed at the suffestion of the Parish's Architecture for Faith Committee to support its initiative to pursue a capital project on the existing Parish site to accomodate the immediate space needs of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School and Parish.  The planning process for the stratefic plan is comprehensive and focuses on faith based education, enrollment, staffing, development, facilities, finances, and leadership.  The planning process included the following:
                                      • Conducting focus group meetings with school families, faculty, staff, and school board members.
                                      • Discussions with the Principal regarding the strengths and areas of development faced by the school.
                                      • Review of the curriculum, finances, and facility needs of the school.
                                      • Development of a written plan outlining key data, observations, goals, and strategies.
It was the collaborative nature of all involved that contributed to the success of this process.  We would like to thank everyone who provided their thoughtful input.l  Please join us as we begin implementing our new plan.
