Spanish Education
Spanish NewsSaints Peter and Paul Catholic School in the only school, public or private, in Monroe County to offer a foreign language to grades K-8 as part of their regular curriculum. Taught by Senora Mimi Davinroy, who was born in Havana, Cuba, the children not only learn the Spanish language, but also the Hispanic culture.
Kindergarten through fourth graders meet once a week for 30 minutes to learn language basics and build on previous knowledge each year. Fifth through eighth grade students mett three times per week for approximately 30 minutes at a time. They use the Bravo textbook published by Houghton-Mifflin. Highlights of the Program:
